Oregon Coast fishing guide, Dennis Sherwood has 40 years of experience on the Umpqua River, Winchester Bay and the Pacific Ocean.

During the Oregon summer salmon season we fish the lower Umpqua River from Reedsport to Winchester Bay, including the Umpqua River bar, and ocean. Salmon season normally starts on the Oregon Coast on the 15^th of March, and runs until the 31st of October. This is dependent upon Oregon State and Federal Regulations.

 

Sturgeon fishing on the Umpqua River starts in January & runs through June. We fish from just above Winchester Bay, Oregon to approx. Mill Creek on highway 38. The Oregon Spring Chinook season runs from March through May.  Winter Steelhead starts in late October and runs through February.
